About the Project

The “Visual Tools for Learning” Erasmus+ training course was organized by the EUvolution NGO in Oristano, Sardinia, Italy. The project brought together trainers, youth leaders, and facilitators from Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, Slovakia, and Lithuania.

The project, conducted between December 4–11, 2024, focused on exploring the impact of visual thinking and visual storytelling tools in youth work. Participants worked on innovative methods to make complex information more understandable, strengthen communication with young people, and make learning processes more engaging.

During the eight-day training, participants engaged in hands-on activities based on graphic facilitation and visual storytelling. Through these methods, youth workers gained practical skills to make workshops, trainings, and group work more interactive, creative, and accessible.

The project also placed special emphasis on social inclusion. It focused on how visual aids can make learning processes more accessible, especially for young people with limited resources. Thus, participants developed methods to create more inclusive and effective learning environments when working with young people.

The training course also fostered intercultural learning, European values, tolerance, and solidarity. It contributed to the development of the 8 core competencies documented by the Youthpass, and at the end of the project, participants were empowered with the knowledge and skills to conduct more visual, inclusive, and effective training activities in their own institutions.
