Focus on the Planet

The “Focus on the Planet” Erasmus+ youth exchange was organized by Associazione Culturale EUvolution in Oristano, Sardinia, Italy. The project brought together young participants from Italy, Turkey, Spain, Slovakia, and Poland to address environmental sustainability through the creative language of photography.

The program, which took place between October 16–24, 2024, aimed to raise awareness among young people about environmental issues, encourage them to think about sustainable solutions, and create social impact through visual storytelling.

During the eight-day exchange program, participants addressed environmental issues through discussions, drama, role-playing, outdoor activities, and non-formal education methods based on learning by doing. Photography was used throughout the project as a tool for environmental expression and activism; participants produced visual stories that could inspire positive change in their local communities and across Europe.

The project has also made a strong contribution to intercultural dialogue, personal development, and international cooperation. Participants shared their cultural heritage during cultural evenings, fostering mutual respect and lasting international ties.

The “Focus on the Planet” project has supported the development of the 8 core competencies documented by Youthpass, encouraging young people to become active citizens and environmental advocates for a greener future.
